Permanent Desk Terms & Conditions

1. Service Type: Permanent Desk

2. Description: Full-Time Mezzanine Desk with 1 standard desk and 1 office chair.

3. Terms:

a) $275 per month, due on the 1st of each month. 

b) Rentals are month to month, starting on the 1st of each month. Either “The Client” or “The Provider” can give 30 days written notice of terminating the membership, either through Cobot or in email to hello@thestandardspace.ca . Notice of membership termination is to be given prior to the 1st of the following month.

c) Cobot automatically charges “The Client” credit card on file on the 1st of each month based on the “The Client” chosen plan. Additional charges may apply for meeting rooms or other resources booked by “The Client”, as per the listed resources on Cobot.

4. Services Provided by “The Provider”:

a) 2 hours of Boardroom bookings per week included. Unused hours do not roll-over. 80% discount applied to further Boardroom bookings.

b) Access to common seating areas such as couch, lounge chairs, high top tables.

c) Kitchen with table, fridge, sink, dishwasher, microwave, dishes and utensils.

d) Washrooms including shower.

e) Access to bookable resources through Cobot.

f) Internet access.

g) Printer available on site.

h) Fob or key code access to the building for the duration of this agreement.

5. House Rules:

a) Hours of access are 6am to 6pm, Monday to Friday. If there is no event rental in the building on a given day, Permanent Desk Membership holders may access the space after 6pm on weekdays. Event rentals will be communicated and scheduled through Cobot or by email.

b) “The Provider” may close the workspace and meeting rooms no more than 2 working days in any given month for large events within the workspace.

c) Noise levels within the workspace are to be considered ‘inside’ level and must not distract other clients. We ask that you book necessary resources on Cobot for calls/meetings that other clients may find distracting.

d) Except within your own headphones, please no amplified music from your devices. “The Provider” will play music at a reasonable level from 6am to 6pm throughout the work day.

e) The Standard Space is an inclusive and threat free environment with a zero tolerance policy for hate, racism, discrimination or verbal abuse. “The Provider” retains the right to cancel this agreement immediately upon these actions taking place by “The Client”.

f) Bikes and scooters may be brought to The Standard and stored in the designated lobby area.

g) There is no vehicle parking provided on site.

h) Pets are not allowed inside the workspace at any time.

i) Children are not allowed as guests in the workspace unless in a booked meeting room, with the exception of Fridays after 2pm.

j) Visitors are not allowed in the workspace unless “The Client” has booked a meeting room to host the visitor, or on Fridays after 2pm.

k) Desk Pod members may leave items on their desk and in their filing cabinet as this space is designated for the sole use of the member. Desk and desk area is expected to be kept tidy of clutter and organized prior to leaving for the day.

6. Liability:

a) “The Provider” is not responsible or liable for “The Client” goods and assets located within the workspace at 124 Estabrook Ave. Items brought into the workspace and/or left on site are at “The Client” own risk.
